Armor-Wrap Structural Material, with high strength and elasticity, is made from flexible fiberglass knit fabric tape saturated with water-activated polyurethane.
Armor-Wrap is used in emergency repair and protection of pipelines which carry water, gas and chemicals in civil and military industrial use. It has played an important role in the fields of power supply, chemicals transportation, marine and communication engineering by reducing losses caused by pipeline leaking or damage, and has become the necessary part in emergency repair and pipeline maintenance. Use Method:
1. Clean the cable or the damaged area of pipeline. Wear protective gloves and open the Armor-Wrap Structure Material pouch.
2. Infuse water into the pouch, press several times and take out the tape. Squeeze out excess water.
3. Start wrapping.
3.1 For pipeline leaking repairing, apply steel putty onto the leaking area. For other applications, Skip this step.
3.2 For pipeline repairing, wrap the tape onto the steel putty. For cable reinforcement or pipeline maintenance, wrap the tape onto the cable loop by loop at an angle of 45 ° And make sure of 30-40% overlapping during the wrapping process. Press the tape to assist its molding according to the cable.
3.3 Reverse and fold the tape if necessary when wrapping onto the object with variational diameter. 3.4 Please make sure to wrap the tape exactly same as the picture blow. Press the tape end gently and it will auto-adhere to the previous loop/layer.
4. Wrap 4-8 layers. The number of layer is varied for different application. 5. It will be cured to form a rigid structure in 8-10 minutes and bear weight in 20-30 minutes. The structure will totally set within 24 hours.
Storage:
Avoid high pressure, sunshine, rainwater or snow. 2. Avoid deliberately squeezing or pressing. 3. Store in dry, shady and cool indoor place with temperature lower than 40° C, preferably lower than 30° C.
